Thank God for Another Day

How many times have you found yourself feeling overwhelmed? There are some days when everything goes wrong. A stressful and difficult day that has made me want to retreat into my bed or just go home. I know how hard life can be. Despite this, I have learned that it is important to thank God for another day. This is a phrase I often hear at the end of a long, trying day. I used to feel like thanking God was disingenuous. Every difficulty we encounter is like a test from God. And we do have another day! And maybe this one will be better than the last one. This blog post is about giving thanks to God. It is about thanking Him for the opportunity to learn and grow, for what we have been through and built together with others.

Reasons to thank God for another day

They are so many reasons in life to say thank you, Lord. Not only for the big things you can also thank him for the little things in life. A beautiful day is one of them, with a bountiful supply of inner peace and nature's beauty to enjoy. All our loved ones - family members, friends, animals - are here too. A great big thank you to God who gave us this precious opportunity!

Do you have any reason to thank God today? If not it’s time for gratitude! Thank him for everything from being alive another day to your family or pet dog. You will be surprised just how much there is to be thankful when you take some time out of your busy life to think about it.

The sound of birds chirping outside my window this morning for example. A rosebud that comes to bloom after being stuck under snow for months. Or you might be thankful if your child learns something new and it makes them happy.

Every day is a new Opportunity

We have another day to live, and one more chance to make things right in the world around us. It's another opportunity to show our kids what it means to be a good person. Not just when they're small, but throughout their lives too. We can teach them to say thank you Jesus for another day. Being grateful can be already included in our morning prayers.

When we're feeling down about ourselves or the world in general it helps to focus on all these things and realize how lucky we are simply because we have another chance at life now and tomorrow. It can help put some perspective on what matters most. That there are so many blessings around us every single minute if only we choose to see them.

Inner Peace

I'm thankful to have found peace in myself and others. Through inner peace, I would never be able to enjoy the beauty that surrounds me every single moment. I can appreciate the love from those around me who care about my wellbeing. I am also grateful for the lovely animals. They are so pure even when we treat them badly. But thank you god they always find their way back home where people can show them some kindness and build relationships with us.

Every day is a Miracle – thank you, Lord

There is always something to be thankful for. Even in pain or suffering, there is a reason why we were chosen. We may not know what it means now but when all is said and done we will understand that it was necessary because of His love.

The best way I have found to thank my Heavenly Father for everything that he does for me every day is by showing him through service! It's amazing how much happier you feel after doing anything whether big or small if you do it unto Him. That doesn't mean right away either; sometimes I have waited until the next morning when I wake up to thank Him for what He did that day.

Thank you, Lord.

How to approach difficult days

Life is a rollercoaster. One day you feel like you're on top of the world and then suddenly life throws an unexpected challenge your way. It's a stark reminder that we are all imperfect humans, with natural tendencies to have our good days and bad days.

If you're having a bad day, you should read this writing prompt. Instead of thinking about how awful your day is going, think about someone who has it worse than you do. Remembering that will make your problems seem less important and help you get through the rest of the day in one piece.

I'm sure you've heard the saying, "God never gives more than we can handle." It's true and it really does help to know that He is on our side. If anything seems too hard or impossible for us to do, we should remember that God gave me one day at a time so that I could make each of them count.

Everything will be all right. It is not as bad as it seems, just take a deep breath and keep going for another day!

Some tips

So with that in mind, here's a few things I've learned from difficult days to help you get through them:

  • Pray! Prayer is a very important part of my life. Throughout the day I stop and pray for others, myself, or whatever else needs to.
  • Ask for help from family, friends, or professionals if you're feeling overwhelmed.
  • Take a deep breath and remember that this too shall pass.
  • Remind yourself how much God loves you! He never leaves my side so if I'm struggling he is there to help me.
  • Send my blessings out into the world by looking for ways to be kind and helpful, I'm never alone when I walk confidently. Thank you, god.

See it as a new opportunity

The best way to approach any day is with the intention of saying thank you, God. Thanking him for this new opportunity and thanking yourself for staying strong enough to be here another time around.

Keep your focus on meaningful activities. What are some ways we can enjoy life? One option is by doing something purposeful like volunteering at a place or cause that makes us happy. It will lift our spirits while also benefiting those who need it most. Which then becomes an even bigger blessing as well!

We can give back by helping other people who are less fortunate than us. Or even just take a moment out of our own lives to help someone on their way home from school or work. Let's show each other kindness all over again tomorrow!

What is the best way to thank God for another day?

The best way to thank god is through showing love, giving unconditionally. Not expecting anything in return, or never asking "why?" To show grace by forgiving others so your own sins are forgiven as well. We are reminded of his constant presence every day with us by praying before meals or during times of trouble.

Morning Prayers

Say a prayer of gratitude when you wake up tomorrow morning. They are several great morning prayer quotes that you can use to start your day.

"Dear God, thank You for another morning. Thank you, God for giving me another day, another chance to become a better person."

"My prayer is not to be sheltered from storms but gives strength and grace when they come. My shield is Your right hand in whom I trust." (St. Francis of Assisi)

"You will never know how much it means to me just knowing there's someone out there who understands what life feels like the way it does sometimes for me." (St. Teresa of Avila)

End with a prayer or blessing

The best way to end a day before going to sleep is to say a prayer. Thank God, we made it through today without being harmed or causing harm. We survived the traffic and our coworkers' moods. With every new day comes hope and sometimes even joy. Tomorrow is just around the corner with all of its unknown possibilities; good and bad alike. So take tomorrow one second at a time by saying this short but powerful prayer before bed:

"Dear God, thank You Lord for giving me a blessed day!"

How do you appreciate God's blessings?

One way to appreciate god's blessings is to show gratitude for what he has done. Whether by writing a prayer of thanksgiving or having a conversation with him in your head, say thank you and praise his name!

We are blessed to have this time on earth where we can make an impact through showing love and grace. His blessings come our way every day when we're reminded that he is always there even if we don't notice.

Another way to appreciate god's blessing is by going into nature which reminds us of how small yet complete we all are meaning.

Thankful Prayer and Thoughts

"Dear God, thank you for all your miracles and blessings. Help me to remain humble in the face of my dependence on you. Lead me closer to our Lord Jesus as I work through this difficult time. Strengthen my faith so that it may grow strong and solid like a mountain. Only with good spiritual health can we live free from addiction or any other form of sinfulness. Amen".

Thank you Lord Jesus Christ

Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice and your love. That I'll be able to live in peace now without being filled with fear or concern about the possibility of relapse. For blessing me with a new way of life, because I have been able to conquer my addiction through your grace. See also Serenity Prayer.

Conclusion

There are a million reasons to thank god for another day, and it's up to you what those reasons are. God gave us everything we need and we can be grateful for what he has blessed us with. Let's thank God for another day together, because tomorrow is not promised to any of us! Let’s work towards peace every single day, may all our efforts result in love and kindness among each other! Our world desperately needs more love right now! Let's make it count by giving thanks living healthier lives without addictions or evil.

We should all be grateful. We are not guaranteed a tomorrow, or today even. So enjoy every moment of your life because you never know what's going to happen next. Start with saying "thank you God" today and see where your gratitude takes you! God bless you.
